See why size matters!

Kiss cards in hand, guest get ready for their Lipsology reading with Laura E. West.

More and more companies are concerned with how and when to gather back their employees to the office.   They are looking for ways to strengthen company morale and build synergy with their teams.

It hasn’t surprised me to see corporate offices pulling out the stops to court and offer fun events to draw everyone out of their homes and into a celebratory environment.  It’s been a long two years!

One of my favorite things to look at as a Lipsologist (I read lipstick prints) at a corporate event is the size of the lip prints.  Why?  Because it tells me a thing or two about how the person works on projects.  And it’s very entertaining to do this with teams or groups.

So you may be wondering how does one read lip prints.  Well first the guest applies a generous application of lipstick and then kisses a white, unlined piece of paper two or more times.  Their kisses make lip prints on the paper and I am one of nine Certified Lipsologists in the world trained to read and interpret the special messages each lip print has for their owner.

One of the first things I look for is how big is their print.  And as you might assume, there are three sizes: small, medium, and large.   Medium size lip prints (prints that are about 1 3/4 – 2 k1/4 inches wide and 7/8 – 1 3/4 in height.   Anything less is considered a small lip print and anything bigger, is considered, well, large.

Size Matters

The size of a lip print indicates how a person starts a project and where their strength is in the team.  Small lip print people like to ask questions and need lots of information before commitment. Medium size lip print people tend to jump right in and often juggle more than one project at a time.  The larger lip print people are rare.  They are the leaders and big idea people.

Mr. Big

These pictures tell one of my favorite lip stories from a recent corporate event at a luxury resort.     Five team members from an accounting group were having fun listening to each other’s Lipsology reading.   The only man in their group had been goaded into making big dark purple lip prints on his kiss card.   Wow!  They just about jumped off the page at me!Your lip prints say "Play big, or go home!"

“You are a Visionary” I told him.  “That’s someone who sees the big picture of a project and gathers the right people, right tools, and resources together.  You don’t like to be rushed through the process.  Having the right amount of time to do the project will be a non-negotiable. And – no nitpicking you about what the project might cost either.   It’s Play Big or Go Home time with you.  Do it right, or not at all.”

All the ladies around this guy laughed heartily.

I’m the owner!

He pointed to his name tag. “ Well, I should be the guy with the vision.  I’m the owner of the business!”

Then he waved his card in the air, “I’m framing this one!”

It was the highlight of my evening!

It’s not too early to book your holiday party, bridal shower or company client appreciation event.  Need some idea? I’m here to help!
